These past two weeks we have focused exclusively on wrapping up our sculptures. I am really not a big fan of mine and I hate how I like, to be honest. I have tried consistently to change the appearance of my sculpture. The eyes are too small and I still look like an old, starving woman. I have more or less given up on trying to change how it looks or I know I will spend way too much time trying to rework it and make it perfect, which it will never be. So, I have been carving out the insides and getting it ready to dry out and get fired. Also, last Thursday we went to the 1708 Gallery and Quirk which was really fun. The Friday right before break we talked about Edward Hopper. I'm almost excited to go to New York City with MWA.
I am an art student at Maggie Walker and this is the place where I talk about what we're making and what we're learning... Through this I can pour out my heart about my artistic experience.
